Mac OSX(10.3.9)でgnuplotを使いたく、easypackageを使いインストールを行いました。
また、Xcode11はマックのinstallディスクを使用しインストールしました。さらにaquaも
念のためインストールしました。

この状態でTerminalを立ち上げ、gnuplotと入力＋リターンしますと、次の表示が出て
gnuplotが立ち上がりました。

Terminal type set to 'unknown'
gnuplot>

ここでさらに　set terminal aquaと打つと、

Terminal type set to 'unknown'
gnuplot> set terminal aqua
Terminal type set to 'aqua'
Options are '0 title 'Figure 0' size 846 594 fname 'Times-Roman' fsize 14'
gnuplot>

となり、後は plot,splot 等でアクアにグラフを表示させることに成功しました。

しかし、上記のところでaquaではなく、set terminal X11と打つと、

gnuplot> set terminal x11
Terminal type set to 'x11'
Options are '0'
gnuplot>
gnuplot: unable to open display ''
gnuplot: X11 aborted.

となり、X11を使っての表示がうまく行きません。

どのようにすればよろしいでしょうか？
